The Role

We’re looking for a Customer Success Engineer to work closely with our prospects and customers to assist them with OSS and SaaS deployment, architecting their data discovery with industry best practices.

What you’ll do

  • Become an expert in all things relating to DataHub (features, functionality, use, etc.)
  • Lead product demos, assist with customer onboarding and continue providing support to customers once they are using our product
  • Guide customers through proof-of-concept implementations and help facilitate trials
  • Enhance the python-based ingestion framework to support ingesting usage statistics, lineage and operational metadata from systems like Snowflake, Redshift, Kafka, and more
  • Enable the ingestion framework to run in a cloud native environment
  • Be an active member of the DataHub Community
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer data architecture / pipelines and serve as the primary point of escalation for customer issues
  • Build active and meaningful relationships with customers and ensure high customer satisfaction

Who you are

  • 4+ years in Sales Engineering, Technical Success Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Software/Data Engineering, Technical Consulting or similar roles
  • Strong understanding of the Modern Data Stack, data pipelines and ETL processes
  • Expertise in Python
  • Knowledge of distributed systems
  • Ability to design for scale and fault tolerance
  • Intermediate+ level for SQL and BI tools (Tableau, Snowflake, Looker, etc.)
  • Possess a combination of technical skills and also the ability to build relationships with customers
  • Self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Extreme empathy and a focus on achieving great customer outcomes
  • Comfortable working in and excited about an independent, fast-paced environment
